- 1 GB, that is the new point at which prices start to rise exponentially.
- For $300 CDN I can get a 1GB drive or I can spend $280 CDN for an 850MB drive,

- You could be right of course, I am going by a comparison of around 30 mail
- order companies ads I saw in The Computer Paper. Most drives being sold were
- 540 MB or higher so I don't know about the much lower sizes.

- I have seen some panasonic CDROMS (IDE) that go for $59 CDN, btw. Most of the
- scsi ones were 4x and those that were not were around $200 CDN. There are
- always exceptions somewhere though.
